After August 5, the Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC) has provided such assistance that the country is now in a safer place, said General Waker-uz-Jaman, Chief of Army Staff of the Bangladesh Army.
He made this statement after inaugurating the academic building of the Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC) Training Academy in the Baipail area of Savar on Thursday (December 5).
At the beginning of the inauguration ceremony, a group of highly trained BNCC cadets from the Army, Navy, and Air Force presented a Guard of Honor to the Army Chief. After receiving the Guard of Honor and unveiling the inauguration plaque, the Army Chief planted a tree at the BNCC Training Academy and participated in a special prayer and supplication for the welfare of the country and the nation.
In his speech, the Army Chief respectfully remembered the BNPCC cadets and all the brave freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives during the 1971 Liberation War, as well as the student martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the anti-discrimination movement in July-August this year. He emphasized the vital role of BNCC cadets, alongside the armed forces, in ensuring the country's security, maintaining discipline, and leading during any crisis. He also praised the pioneering role of BNCC cadets at both the social and national levels and congratulated all members of the organization.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Lieutenant General Mizanur Rahman Shamim, Chief of General Staff, Bangladesh Army; Major General Md. Masudur Rahman, Adjutant General; Major General Md. Moeen Khan, GOC, 9th Infantry Division; Brigadier General Md.
