A major fire broke out late at night at the Secretariat in the capital, Dhaka. Several parts of the Secretariat were damaged by the fire, but the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage have not been confirmed yet. There are concerns that important government documents may have been affected by the fire.

Following the incident, Syed Abdullah, a former student of the Law Department of Dhaka University and a social activist, commented on Facebook. He wrote, "A terrible fire broke out at the Secretariat in the deep of the night. I pray that all important documents are safely protected and that the damage is minimized."

Meanwhile, firefighters quickly arrived at the scene and are working to bring the fire under control. Thirteen units of the Fire Service are working at the site to control the fire. However, no reports of casualties have been received so far.
